2017/18 Winter Launch Party

On the chilly evening of December 7, New York City’s outdoor adventure seekers weaved through the Soho streets to convene at the Patagonia Bowery Store for the Sourced Adventures Winter Launch Party. If you were one of the adventurers who came out to the event we’d like to say a huge thank you! It was great having you there. For us, this was the first time we’ve ever called you out to meet each and to meet our team (other than on our weekly NYC ski trips, tubing trips and whitewater rafting trips) so we were stoked, to say the least.

The main reason we threw the event was to celebrate the launch of our Winter Trips for 2017 (get ready to hit the slopes! Did someone say Snow Tubing? Beer!?) and to broadcast the release of a brand new product. A product that has been in the pipeline for months and months: Sourced Adventures Premium. Our fearless leader Kyle Davidson jumped onto the mic to introduce Premium as a subscription based service offering exclusive perks and discounts. Namely, 15% off all day trips, trip protection and a dedicated adventure specialist! Sounds epic, right? It absolutely is. Our recent site-wide trip price reductions mean you’ll pay less for your trips and you won’t be seeing the standard discounts we used to flash about. This makes Premium a steal.

We loved meeting you, and we’re happy you got to meet us too! We’re even happier that everyone loved the wine and the beer, graciously donated to the event from Sunday Beer Co. We’re stoked to have given away a ton of awesome freebies at the event, with two lucky event-goers walking away with Premium Memberships free of charge. Others snagged free tickets to the NYC Snow Tubing & Brewery Trip, Hunter Mountain Ski trip, POW battery packs as well as Patagonia swag.

We can’t thank Patagonia enough for graciously hosting us last week. The tantalizing Patagonia outdoor gear nestled amongst the beach photography surfboards was made even more accessible by the exclusive 20% off Patagonia store-wide discount (yes please!). We’d also like to say a big thank you to our partner Randy from Hunter Mountain who set up a Hunter Mountain info table! We can’t wait to head to Hunter this season and we’ll be running the first Hunter Mountain buses of the season this weekend!

All proceeds from the event went to the 1% for the Planet foundation POW (Protect Our Winters). The founder or 1% for the Planet happens to be the father of Patagonia. Small world.
